Regent-designate Jessica Lum
Jessica Lum graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Economics. She demonstrates a commitment to public service through her work in community engagement, focusing on economic conditions in the Bay Area. She has spent over a decade in external affairs across various nonprofit trade associations and city government.
Jessica has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, including Walk San Francisco, Friends of San Francisco Environment, City College of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, among others. Through this service, as well as her experience managing a board, she has developed a strong understanding of effective board leadership, stakeholder engagement, and organizational operations.
Jessica hopes to bring her experience in public service, community engagement, and nonprofit governance in service to the Alumni Association and the University of California. She describes her time at UC Santa Cruz as transformative and unforgettable and is committed to fostering meaningful alumni engagement and inspiring graduates to remain connected to and invested in the university community.
