Presidential Search
University of California Board of Regents Chair Janet Reilly named the Regental members of a Special Committee to lead the search for the 22nd UC President. The Special Committee will consider candidates, consult with the broad UC community, and recommend a candidate to the full Board. Additional information can be found on the Presidential Search website.
UC Presidential Search Townhalls scheduled for January 10th at UC Irvine, January 17th at UC Davis, and January 21st at UCSF Mission Bay, offer an opportunity for the public to engage directly with the Special Committee. These townhalls provide a platform for community members to voice their questions, comments, and concerns and describe what they want to see in a new UC president. Your participation is encouraged. Sign up to provide public comment in person or via phone here.
2026-27 Student Regent
The University of California Board of Regents is searching for the 2026-27 student Regent to serve on UC’s governing body. The student Regent is a full voting member of the Board. This impactful role brings the voice of students to every issue and decision before the Board. All UC students are eligible to apply, which comes with a stipend and a waiver for all systemwide tuition and fees during the two-year term of service. The deadline to apply is March 10.
